Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Multi Player uses cookies and similar technologies on the website at multi-player.site (the “Site”) and how the Multi Player app stores data locally on your device. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time and help keep certain features secure.
2. How we use cookies on the Site
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We use only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies:
| Purpose | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Security (anti-CSRF) | Strictly necessary | Protects web forms (support, contact, deletion requests) against cross-site request forgery. |
| Session | Strictly necessary | Maintains your session state while you interact with forms on the Site. |
| Preferences | Functional | Remembers basic choices, such as dismissing a notice, to improve your experience. |
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your information. Because we rely only on strictly necessary and basic functional cookies, and load no third-party trackers, the Site does not display an intrusive tracking-consent banner.
3. Local storage in the App
The Multi Player app is designed to be fast and offline-friendly. To achieve this, it stores data locally on your device, including your imported playlists and library, cached artwork, your settings and theme, and a queue of changes waiting to sync. This local data stays on your device and is managed by the App; clearing the App’s data or uninstalling it removes it.
4. Third-party content
The App enriches your library using metadata from The Movie Database (TMDB). These requests are proxied and cached by our servers, so third-party cookies are not set on your device by that integration. If you follow links to external sites or stores, those third parties may use their own cookies under their own policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, including blocking them entirely. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them may prevent forms on the Site from working correctly. To manage the App’s local data, use your device’s application settings to clear Multi Player’s storage, or uninstall the App.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
7. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at support@multi-player.site.
