Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Multi Player (“Multi Player”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares and protects information when you use the Multi Player applications for Android, Android TV and Windows (the “App”) and the website at multi-player.site (the “Site”). Multi Player is a media player for the IPTV playlists, movies, series and local files that you are authorised to access; it does not provide, host or resell any media of its own.
By using the App or the Site you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or the Site.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Device information
When you first launch the App, your device registers with our servers so we can operate the service and manage your trial or subscription. We collect and store:
- a generated device identifier and installation identifier;
- device name, platform (Android, Android TV or Windows), model and operating-system version;
- the App version and build number;
- the IP address associated with your requests; and
- a push notification token, where you enable notifications.
We do not require an account to use the App with a trial and your own local playlists.
1.2 Account information
If you choose to create an account to sync across devices, we store the details you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number and a securely hashed password, together with preferences such as language, timezone and theme. Accounts are optional and only needed for cross-device cloud sync.
1.3 Viewer profiles and cloud data (stored)
Multi Player offers cloud profiles and cross-device sync. When you are signed in, we do store the following on our servers so they are available on your other devices:
- Viewer profiles you create in the App (for example a “Kids” profile), including their display name and settings;
- Favourites you mark;
- Watch history, including playback positions and completion status;
- Continue watching and recently played items;
- App preferences and theme settings.
These records reference items in your own playlists (such as a title, poster and an item reference); we do not receive or store the underlying media itself.
1.4 IPTV / playlist source details
To play your content, the App stores the playlist sources you add — for example an Xtream Codes server URL, username and password, or an M3U/M3U8 URL. Where these credentials are stored on our servers they are encrypted at rest. They are used solely to fetch and play the content you have configured and are never sold or shared for advertising.
1.5 Usage and diagnostic information
We collect limited operational data such as last-seen timestamps, session activity, request logs and error diagnostics. This helps us keep the service reliable, prevent abuse and enforce trial and subscription rules. The server is always authoritative for time-based entitlements (for example trial and subscription expiry).
1.6 Support communications
If you contact us through the Site or the App, we keep the message, your email address and related metadata so we can respond and improve our support.
2. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain and improve the App and the Site;
- To register your device, manage trials, activations and subscriptions, and gate access to protected features;
- To sync your profiles, favourites, watch history and continue-watching across your devices;
- To fetch and play the playlists and media you have configured;
- To send you notifications you have opted into and important service messages;
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- To secure the service, detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-party services
3.1 TMDB
To enrich your library with artwork, posters, ratings and descriptions, the App uses metadata from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Requests to TMDB are proxied and cached by our servers; we do not send TMDB your account credentials. Your use of TMDB-sourced metadata is subject to TMDB’s own terms and privacy policy.
3.2 Stores and delivery
If you download the App from an application store, that store’s own privacy policy applies to the download and any store account you use.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses strictly necessary cookies (for example to keep forms secure with anti-CSRF tokens and to remember basic preferences). The App uses local storage on your device to cache your library and settings for a fast, offline-friendly experience. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or device remains active and as needed to provide the service. Diagnostic and log data is kept for a limited period for security and reliability. When you delete your account, we remove or irreversibly anonymise your personal data and cloud content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
6. Deleting your account and data
You are in control of your data. You can request permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud data — including profiles, favourites, watch history and continue-watching — at any time:
- on this website at multi-player.site/account/delete; or
- from within the App’s account settings.
To protect you, we verify deletion requests before removing data. Once verified, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. These include HTTPS-only transport, encryption of sensitive playlist credentials at rest, hashed passwords, scoped and rotatable access tokens, rate limiting, anti-CSRF protection on web forms, and safeguards against server-side request forgery on outbound fetches. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and continuously improve our defences.
8. Children
Multi Player is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The optional “Kids” viewer profile is a content-presentation convenience for the account holder and does not create a separate account for a child. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this policy.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@multi-player.site. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App or on the Site. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us at support@multi-player.site.
